Downtown First Thursdays at Southside Spirit House

Come visit Southside Spirit House when you check out Downtown First Thursdays! Southside Spirit House is located at 2nd and Howard. We will have special First Thursdays food and drink specials. Southside is a 21+ over establishment however the street party is all ages.

Into The Streets is excited to announce the launch of a FREE, all-ages monthly party taking place the first thursday of every month from 5-10pm in the streets of Downtown San Francisco, in partnership with the Civic Joy FundThe East Cut CBDYerba Buena CBDNatoma Cabana, and 111 Minna Gallery. This new street party will run monthly from May 2, 2024 to April 3, 2025, bring thousands of people downtown, and feature an exciting lineup of music, performance, food, shopping, and art. Get ready for disco in the streets, DJs, live music, drag, martial arts, fashion, street performances, and many more surprises. The fun takes place on 2nd Street (between Market and Folsom) and along neighboring alleyways. Grab a free ticket and register your email to be the first to know about what's coming to downtown!

HowWeird Street Faire 2024

Come visit Southside Spirit House during the HowWeird Street Faire! Entrance to Southside Spirit House is FREE, however tickets are needed for entry to the faire. 

The 25th Annual How Weird Street Faire

The longest-running dance festival / street parade on the West Coast returns on Saturday, May 4th. This year's theme “May The 4th Be With You” will feature an unforgettable day of music, art, costumes, and dancing, centered at Howard and 2nd Streets in downtown San Francisco, CA. Noon-8 p.m. All Ages. Wheelchair Accessible. Children 5 and under do not need tickets but must be accompanied by a paying adult.

● How Weird Marketplace, featuring unique goods

● An eclectic menu of food and drink offerings from food trucks and local restaurants

On May 4th, the streets of downtown San Francisco will once again be filled with colorful costumes and dancing. How Weird Street Faire’s nine stages will feature world-class electronic music, played on some of the world’s best sound systems. Cutting-edge headliners from across the Bay Area and the world will provide an unforgettable dance experience. This year’s theme is “May The 4th Be With You”

Art Alley will showcase the visual arts, with live and exhibited artwork, interactive pieces, and artists selling their works. Patrons can stroll the legendary open air gallery, and be inspired by the abundance of creativity in an expanded space. Apply to sell your art at the Faire, at www.howweird.org. Spots are limited.

How Weird Marketplace will be filled with vendors from around the world selling unique goods. From clothing to art, jewelry, and accessories, Marketplace offers a unique shopping experience. Apply to vend at the Faire, at www.howweird.org. Spots are limited.

Food trucks and local restaurants will provide a wide variety of food and drinks for sale.

A world-renowned experience, How Weird Street Faire has been named one of the 10 Best Cultural Festivals in America by USA Today in 2019, and awarded SF Weekly’s Best of SF Award for “street fair that continues to improve and blow our minds” in 2018. Located in downtown San Francisco, How Weird draws lovers of music, art, culture, and weirdness. Our event welcomes all ages, and is wheelchair accessible. Only service dogs can enter the Faire. The Faire is easily accessible by BART, and a short walk from the Caltrain Station and many MUNI lines. We strongly encourage everyone to take public transportation.
